Convert and Import iPhone MP4 to Premiere Elements

Can't import iPhone MP4 video to Premiere Elements? The issue has been resolved in this article.

Convert and Import iPhone MP4 to Premiere Elements
I typically use Adobe Premiere Elements to extensively edit company video clips into sales videos, but it wouldn't open my iPhone mp4 videos. Any way to work iPhone MP4 with Premiere Elements?

In fact, as someone suggested I need to convert iPhone MP4 to an edit-ready codec for Premiere Elements. This is because iPhone records videos with H.264 codec. However, h.264 is NOT a codec design for editing. Technically, it's not even designed for capture, but only for delivery...

To fulfill the teak, I applied Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac. This video app can help you change iPhone MP4 into a different format (e.g. .mov, .wmv, .mpg) with least quality loss. You should then be able to import the new file into Premiere Elements with smooth editing without any trouble. If you are Windows users, please get the Video Converter.

Now the guide below will teach you how to convert and import iPhone MP4 to Premiere Element for easier editing.

How to convert iPhone MP4 to MPEG-2 codec for Premiere Elements

Step 1: Install and launch Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac and you can import MP4 clips to the program through "Add Video" button or just drag and drop the files to the program. If you like, check the "Merge into one" box to join MP4 clips together.

Step 2: Set output format. Click "Format" drop-down bar to select a proper video format. To edit MP4 videos in Adobe Premiere Elements, then Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas > MPEG-2 (*.mpg) is the suitable one.

Tip: The iPhone video converter enables users to adjust audio and video settings before transcoding iPhone recording files to MPEG-2. Click "Settings" button, then you will enter the following interface, on which you are allowed to customize size, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, and audio channel to your required ones.

Step 3: Finally, hit the big Convert button on bottom of the main windows and the conversion from MP4 to Premiere Elements will begin immediately.

After the conversion is complete, get the resulted files via clicking the Open button and then you can import iPhone video to Adobe Premiere Elements for further editing without any hassle.
